Physical Wellness Policy for CPR and Skills-Based Training
Physical Wellness Policy for CPR and Skills-Based Training
At A New Perspective L.L.C., participant safety and course integrity are of the utmost importance. Due to the physical nature of CPR and other skills-based certifications, all students are required to be in adequate physical condition to perform the practical components of training, which include but are not limited to: chest compressions, rescue breathing, use of training AEDs, and positioning maneuvers performed at ground level.
Policy Guidelines:
Physical Capability Requirement:
All participants must be physically capable of completing the hands-on skill assessments required for certification. This includes the ability to kneel, perform chest compressions, and demonstrate full-body movements essential to life-saving procedures.
Medical Clearance for Injuries or Limitations:
If you have an existing injury, physical limitation, or medical condition that could impact your ability to perform these tasks, you must provide written documentation from a licensed physician stating that you are medically cleared to participate in the practical skills portion of the class.
This documentation must be submitted and approved prior to the start of class.
Without prior approval and appropriate documentation, you will not be permitted to participate in skills testing.
No Liability for Undisclosed Conditions:
A New Perspective L.L.C. does not accept liability for any injury sustained during participation by individuals who failed to disclose a physical limitation or who chose to proceed against medical advice.
No Refund Policy:
If you arrive for class and are unable to complete the required skills due to a physical condition without prior approval, you will be dismissed from the session. No refunds will be issued in such cases, and you will not be permitted to register for future courses until proper medical documentation is submitted verifying that the condition is resolved or no longer interferes with your ability to perform.
This policy is in place to protect the health and safety of all participants and to maintain the quality and credibility of our certification programs.
