What is covered in the STB course?
Recognize life-threatening bleeding: Learn to identify situations where uncontrolled bleeding can quickly become life-threating.
Control bleeding with 3 simple techniques:
Direct pressure: Apply firm, constant pressure directly to the source of the bleeding using your hands or a clean cloth.
Packing the wound: Fill the wound with clean gauze or cloth to apply pressure and absorb blood with the proper packing technique.
Tourniquet application: Learn how and when to properly apply a tourniquet to a limb to stop severe uncontrolled bleeding.
