• Stop The Bleed is a national awareness campaign and training program that empowers anyone to learn basic life saving bleeding control technique

Who should take STB?

• Everyone! Stop the Bleed training is valuable for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including:

  • Parents and caregivers

  • Teachers and coaches

  • Workplace employees

  • Law enforcement and security personnel

  • Community members

What is covered in the STB course?

• Recognize life-threatening bleeding: Learn to identify situations where uncontrolled bleeding can quickly become life-threating.

• Control bleeding with 3 simple techniques:

  • Direct pressure: Apply firm, constant pressure directly to the source of the bleeding using your hands or a clean cloth.

  • Packing the wound: Fill the wound with clean gauze or cloth to apply pressure and absorb blood with the proper packing technique.

  • Tourniquet application: Learn how and when to properly apply a tourniquet to a limb to stop severe uncontrolled bleeding.

How long is the STB course?

• The full course lecture and skill included will be 2 hours

How much does the STB course cost?

• Full Course - $75.00 

• Hybrid Online Course - $50.00

Is the STB certification required?

• A Stop The Bleed certification is not required, but desirable for the educational benefit and individual educational progress.
